“Sweating for the wedding.” “Squat before you tie the knot.” “Suck it up buttercup.” There are millions of words of encouragement and everyone could use extra motivation to not just lose weight to fit into your dream dress, but to be a healthier, happier, and better version of yourself!
I recently (re)joined the gym. When I lived in New York, I had a trainer and I was on a pretty rigorous training schedule and I loved every second of it. I never felt more energized, more relaxed, and I loved the way I looked. But then a lot of changes happened in my life both professionally and personally and because if it, I let those excuses get in the way of my physical, mental and emotional well-being. I’m telling you this because, I get it. I know life gets in the way and then all of the sudden you look up and realize you don’t love the way you look, you’re tired or lacking energy. This is normal, it happens, but it doesn’t have to be a final verdict.
My biggest advice is this: start small. Make minor, significant changes to your daily routine. Make the effort to spend just 30 minutes doing some sort of physical activity. It’s ideal to do a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Workout. Some of these benefits include: efficiency- meaning you get more done in less time, burn more fat, have a healthier heart, no equipment necessary (READ: you can do a workout anywhere/anytime), and increase your metabolism.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll post some fun, energizing and challenging workouts! The workouts will start small and will build to work all of your muscle groups. Regular exercise and a well-balanced diet will contribute to accomplishing your goals of a better you!
